Your Savage Heart‏

'Of all the stars I admired, drenched
in various rivers and mists,
I chose only the one I love.
Since then I sleep with the night.

Of all the waves, one wave and another
wave, green sea, green chill, branching
of green, I chose only the one wave,
the indivisible wave of your body.

All the waterdrops, all the roots,
all the threads of light gathered to
me here; they came to me sooner or later.

I wanted your hair, all for myself.
From all the graces my homeland offered
I chose only your savage heart.' ~ Pablo Neruda

First Noble Truth

'So the first noble truth, simply put, is that clinging is suffering.
It's because of clinging that physical pain becomes mental pain.
It's because of clinging that aging, illness, and death cause mental
distress.
The paradox here is that, in clinging to things, we don't trap them
or get them under our control. Instead, we trap ourselves. When we
realize our captivity, we naturally search for a way out.'

What is a Bombshell?‏

What makes Bombshell . . . Bombshell, and therefore apart?
I get asked that at times, from other women, especially when
they're in the same room, or restaurant and hear me calling
her.
Those hip hot spots we frequent run by old friends . . . Filled
with a plethora of babes with short skirts, high heels and
legs that go to Heaven and back. Who, of course, believe THEY
are bombshells.
You see there are many beautiful women, babes if you will,
especially in Montreal. I mean 10s' all of them, but none
distinguishing themselves. Bombshell is more a state-of-mind,
than the actual physical appearance . . .think Marilyn Monroe
or Cindy Crawford.
She's a woman who isn't necessarily a 10, say like Bo Derek.
I apologize for the older references but to me that was the
time when I ruled as a player and women were women. Now it's
mostly little girls.
She is sexy and secure in her own skin. Bombshell walks with
unabashed confidence. She knows she's hot, but doesn't flaunt
it or makes you feel any less, vis-à-vis other men or women.
The women who are jealous are precisely those who can only
feel better about themselves by knocking her down.
She's creative and dresses for herself. Always very sexy,
day or evening, work or play, and not according to some magazine
or celebrities, scratch that, some celebrities' stylist.
I've read where some celebrities don't dress unless some girl
or gay man lays it out on the bed for them. So sad!
Bombshell can be a Cordon Bleu and very avant-garde cook,
if need be. She takes care of herself, without letting it
rule her. Eats well, exercises, reads, enjoys companionship
and camaraderie. And best of all to quote Al Pacino as Colonel
Frank Slade in 'Scent of a Woman', Bombshell can suck the
lacquer off of your privates!
Bombshell is always there in your time of need. Doesn't
overwhelm you or clutter your space. Always lets you breathe,
but if you're in trouble, emotionally or otherwise, she'll
be there and give you what you need, always with some
distance, so as not to make you feel claustrophobic. They
say it's a French thing.

My First Foray‏

Back when I was starting as a 'Player' . . . I went to dinner
with a gorgeous, sophisticated, wealthy, and very delicious
lady. I'd scraped together some money to take her to a very
hip restaurant bar . . . a downtown Hotspot. After the initial
chitchat . . . she proceeded to order the most expensive items
on the menu. Foie gras, Lobster Patron and of course Champagne
to wash it all down.
In my naiveté I asked her, "Does your mother feed you like
that when you dine with her?" "No," she replied. "but my mother
doesn't expect fellatio at the end of the soiree." I said,
"Would you care for dessert?"

Signs ... Signs ... Everywhere a Sign.‏

* In the front yard of a funeral home ... "Drive carefully, we'll wait."

* On an electrician's truck ... "Let us remove your shorts."

* On a front door ... "Everyone on the premises is a vegetarian except the dog."

* On a butcher's window ... "Let me meat your needs.

* Outside a muffler shop ... "No appointment necessary. We'll hear you coming."

* In a Beauty Shop ... "Dye now!"

* On the side of a garbage truck ... "We've got what it takes to take what you've got."

* In a restaurant window ... "Don't stand there and be hungry, come in and get fed up."

* Inside a bowling alley ... "Please be quiet. We need to hear a pin drop."

Welcome 2012 !

A brand-new year. . . to live; to believe; to give; to receive;
to fall in love; to share a smile; to walk an inch; to run a mile;
to dive into sunsets; to forgive; to forget; to love where you're
going; to embrace where you've been; to take a deep breath,
close your eyes and begin.
May the New Year be filled with love, adventure, and dreams
come true. Love, xoxox

New Year's Day

'Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on
a bank where they have no account.' ~ Oscar Wilde
